[Art] Bastet and Anubis as 'Totems' - complete

Here you can see how awesome they look side by side. Taken with a flash camera, which doesn't do justice, but does at least pick up the gold and metallic highlights throughout the adornments and spirals.

This project has made me think about doing the Vilturj gods 'as animals,' in this sort of style or series. Oooo the possibilities!







Bastet - also known as Bast, Bast-Mut, Ubasti, Baset, among many other names.

Bastet is an Egyptian cat (and sometimes lioness) Goddess within the Egyptian pantheon. Depicted here as a black cat, as opposed to a cat or lion-headed woman.



Anubis - also known as Yinepu, Inpu, Anpu, Anupu etc.

Anubis, the psychopomp / underworld god within the Egyptian pantheon is depicted here as a jackal. Before Osiris, Anubis was considered the most important god of the dead.

Wow. WOW. Those pictures give me "the feelings". So, uhm, are you accepting any new commissions?

This was a 'commission' but I still had pretty much free-range. If it's for animals in the totem style / series, then yeah I'm considering them.

But other things I'm not right now, too much stress. Send me an email, it never hurts to just air your ideas and see what happens. :)
