[Art] Earthworm as Totem - pre-colouring.
Feb. 20th, 2011 05:30 pmI love earthworms.
No really.
I was one of those people who saved earthworms that had stranded on footpaths.
And thankfully I know a lot of other people around me who did exactly the same thing.

Date: 2011-02-20 10:13 pm (UTC)Earthworm is one of the most humbling medicines to have, and such a powerful, quiet teacher he is. One of the girls from Circle has Earthworm medicine and she can just move earth in the garden like it's sand. She doesn't fully appreciate it, which is really sad. I think I will have to get her a print of this when it is done!

Date: 2011-02-20 10:47 pm (UTC)I walked with one of my clients once, after a rainstorm, and we picked up earthworms and put them back on soil to save them. I love earthyworms.
Now that my budget is bigger, I keep watching your art for an original to buy. A lot of it is stuff that is lovely but doesn't speak to me... I might have to consider buying this one though if no one else is more keenly interested. >_>

Date: 2011-02-20 11:32 pm (UTC)Living in the city, though, which I do, I don't think it makes any damn difference what worms are in the dirt around here, since I'm not exactly living in wild, natural, native woodlands.

Date: 2011-02-20 11:39 pm (UTC)They're so necessary, especially around here where the soil is clay, except where the earthworms have done their work. And quite pretty, in their many dusky pinks and browns. I look forward to seeing what colors this one will have!
