Taken with camera flash, so that you can see the way the costume lights up depending on lighting. Andre Leon Talley would probably call it gauche, but I love it darling, I love it.









In a way, I am so disappointed with the level of detail that my camera just literally can't pick up, because flash washes out the image (the bane of so many artists; flash photography), and because I don't have a steady enough hand for natural lighting. Might have to suck it up and get a tripod.

And yeah, picture taking is tricky. Have you ever worked with a tripod before? Yours must be especially hard, because a flash photo with an acrylic or oil piece must bring out the paint stroke textures and create areas of shine / washed outness. I can't imagine anything more frustrating.
