Crescent illustrator's board, technical pens, pencil and aquarelle, metallic paint.

Taken with camera flash, so that you can see the way the costume lights up depending on lighting. Andre Leon Talley would probably call it gauche, but I love it darling, I love it.


In a way, I am so disappointed with the level of detail that my camera just literally can't pick up, because flash washes out the image (the bane of so many artists; flash photography), and because I don't have a steady enough hand for natural lighting. Might have to suck it up and get a tripod.

Yours must be especially hard, because a flash photo with an acrylic or oil piece must bring out the paint stroke textures and create areas of shine / washed outness. I can't imagine anything more frustrating.
