These are all wonderful! I am quite fond of Pheasant and Fishing Cat. :D

You are the only person I know who takes an art 'break' by pumping out five small AWESOME pieces in a matter of days, lol.

(Have you always signed your work or am I just noticing now?)

I've always signed my work, on the front; and increasingly now on the back as well. :)

Yeah my art break is turning out a little less breaky than I intended. Well, it's brain-breaky, but that's not the same thing.

Ekmu looks very regal, and I can't wait for a color pheasant. Cassowary is like, hey I am so awesome, I am a Cassowary, what up?

I can't wait to colour pheasant too; they are so awesome looking.

I love how you draw fur. I've been staring at the fishing cat for a while now, just admiring the strokes of hair. :D

Glen likes how I draw fur too. Really, it's just a lot of lines. *g*

Lovely!

By the way, are there prints available for the Fox-As-Totem?

The only fox totem I've drawn that I can offer prints on is this one (the one in my icon):

http://www.deviantart.com/print/7497511/

Vixen as totem sold before I could get a good enough scan; and it was pre-awesome-scanner.

But I may one day do a couple more red foxes to get some more print options too.

I already have that one. It's actually hanging in my bedroom as I speak.

Am very bummed about no prints for Vixen As Totem. :( Blast.

These are gorgeous, as always. I particularly like the Fishing Cat and Cassowary. The Emu makes me chuckle uneasily, but that's because of a personal association with those birds...

Emu is such a stark energy (although a lot of the animals in this batch have a fairly stark energy), and they can be aggressive and even kind of fatal (though nothing's really as fatal as a cassowary in the bird world).

I love them, but there's something 'hard down the line' about emus.

Eh, my issues are more toward them being voyeuristic. And I'll just leave it at that...

I love them alll... The faces are so full of personality. it's lovely. Fishing cat and emu are my favorites. I can't wait to see what colors you choose for cassowary.

Fishing cat is Glen's favourite, I think Cassowary is mine, but it'll be interesting to see how they all are once coloured!

I'm loving that cassowary! Bad-ass drawing for a bad-ass bird :D

They are so bad-ass! They are the homicidal punks of the animal kingdom. *g*

I love them all, but am especially drawn to the lizard. Lovely!

Aw yay! I love the bobtail too. I see them in the wild all the time. They are slow and stumpy.

The thing that amazes me is the size of these things. I still can't get over Stellar's Jay.

They are small, yes! They're the smallest thing I do, actually. But I like them; they're like pocket totems, and they fit in any room that a person needs them in.

If I could make little small 'collector's cards,' I would, because then people could keep them in their wallet and look and have a visual reminder that the totem energy is with them.

I am bizarre, yes.

Wonderful! It's always interesting to see what colors these end up with after seeing them in black and white.

For me too! I still don't have a really fixed idea for some of these; so maybe I'll be surprised. :)

As always I really, really like the black and white. The scale texture on the lizard is marvelous, and the stippling and the crazy energy spirals on the cassowary. Then again, whenever I see a cassowary I think "and who says dinosaurs are extinct?", because they are such primitive, saurian looking birds. :)

From: [identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com
Cassowaries are dinosaurs, and I don't care what anyone says. Lol. Every time I see them at the local wildlife park I just think 'yeah, you're a relic from another time, you crazy homicidal bird.'
