Heh. The photos of her with the Kong -- hunting intensity there! :D It's good to see she's enjoying her new toys, and and also the different food. Unrelated, but for some reason this post shows up with an enormous leading space when I click the link. I thought the photos weren't loading for some reason until I scrolled down.

She loves it. And the cat Kongs are pretty safe, have catnip in them, and are all plush and chewable. She lies on top of it, she hugs it, she cuddles it, she chews it, she plays with it. It's pretty awesome, really.

Not sure about the leading space, I've checked the coding and it seems to check out; and it's not happening on mine. But I've seen something similar on other people's journals before. Maybe it's an LJ glitch?

Glen was surprised I wasn't angry about that foot thing, but how could I be angry? She couldn't help it. I think she sort of half woke up in the middle of a nightmare, or maybe my toe twitched and I didn't know or something, but goodness, she was terrified.

Glen and I actually had to put a concerted effort the rest of the night to get her to even consider going on the couch again. So we gave her treats on there and everything. And there's me, going 'is that going to bleed? It feels like it might, but I can't see any... holy shit! It's bleeeeeeeding.' You know those cuts where it won't even bleed straight away and waits like a full minute? Yup.

It paid off though, she's sleeping back in the same spot with Moet now. :)

And my foot will be fine. Poor thing has been through so much already!

I understand. When a pet slashes or snaps at you out of panic, it doesn't merit being angry at them.

Years ago, one of my friends got her hand torn open by her spaniel when she reached for his food dish while he was eating; he did it on reflex and then immediately went into clinical shock when he realized what he'd done, and he almost died. And she never, ever forgave that he'd proved he was a dog and not a furry baby. I loved my friend but I hated that she didn't understand her pet was an animal and sometimes things like that just happen.
