Maybe actually reminds me of something out of the genet family, with the way her head and body are curved. Maybe a spotted linsang! (They're beautiful creatures, and Maybe is very elegant. Moet on the other hand just looks comfortable.)
If she is actually a bengal cross, this is her not-so-long-ago ancestor!

Heh. When I look at the shape of the asian leopard cat, I can kind of see it in Maybe's shape. But maybe I'm looking too hard! Either way, she's a total ratbag.
They're both (blessedly) sleeping right now. I love it when they're sleeping. Lol.
Spray bottle with water, and redirecting behaviour - so if I want them to play with toys instead of the blinds, that's what I try to have them do.
I'm a big believer that all cats can be trained; the most stubborn need to work for their food all day (i.e. stop regular feeding times and make them work for *everything*). But I mean, my cats are food trained on their regular biscuits/kibble (and toys for Maybe), it works great.
hm... Well, the spray bottle doesn't work, so if redirecting doesn't work, I'll have to poke you again about how to make my cat work for his food. He's one of those who has food ou all the time and pops over to eat a little bit whenever he likes.
If you free feed a pet, any pet, they have no reason to learn anything because the things they work for (food, mostly, and sometimes toys) they don't ever have to work for. And if you have an animal that gets what it wants without having to do anything, then you might find that it doesn't do anything when you want it to.
*nods* I may have to change how I feed him then. My brother free fed his cats, and they behaved pretty well. Is there a way to switch from leaving his food out to a set feeding time w/o causing Seti any real discomfort? Is there a best way to do it?
