Part of the commission series.

Lemon as Totem
Prints and other things available here

This was an insane amount of fun. I mean they all are. But I really love the energy of lemons and lemon trees in general (though I'm probably slightly more focused on limes).

This is awesome. This would look fantastic in my kitchen.

How come you never told us you could do plants as totems? Huh? Huh?

This is really interesting. It makes perfect sense that different trees have different energies but it isn't something I've thought of as totem before. It's making me rethink the rowan that is so often the tree in which one of my totems perches in my dreams.

Personal musing aside, I LOVE this. It just radiates cheerfulness to me.

I work with a few tree totems, but not many food plant totems (except maybe passionfruit and pineapple).

I love this! Love. I love that you can grok plants as well as animals. Oddly enough, i have a huge desire to see Moss as totem now. huh. And i am terribly fond of limes, so i wonder what your work with Lime would be like.

Aanyway, you rock! <3

I don't think I'll be able to grok all plants. It'll be interesting to see if I can 'get' species that aren't here in Western Australia (feral or otherwise).

Oh wow! this is *awesome* such beautiful golden sunshiney citrusy-ness. I'd be very excited to see more plant totems. I'd love to see limes too, I ♥ limes.

Limes are the best. I love pruning lime trees, because the leaves, the sap, the branches all smell like lime. Lemons don't have that scent in quite the same way. But pruning limes was *awesome*.

Okay, this is awesome! I think I'll have to buy a print to put in our kitchen, as we LOOOOOVE lemon in this household...

That would be a fun series of totems, I think. And a grouping of them would be a great gift to someone moving into a new place... *ponders that*

I look forwards to seeing other plant- totems.
Lemons are *the* citrus folks grow here in Berkeley.
The print of this will make a nice gift, even friends who are 'just cooks' will love it

I hope so too. Though I think I'll really struggle with species I haven't met before. Plants are difficult to grok (for me) if I haven't actually felt its energy in person.

This art presenation style apparently leads itself just as well to plants as animals. Hoorah, who knew!

And I -just- realized that it's still an illustration of Lemon Tree as a worthy spirit. Lookin' all solar and warm and mouth-watering delicious. I love that you show bud, blossom, and fruit here.

Oh dear god LOLOL! When I first saw you list 'lemon' in the 'as totems animals to come' list....I was really intrigued because I had never heard of the 'lemon animal' before....and I thought that maybe in Australia, you had some kind of fantastic 'lemon' running around eating leaves or bugs or something. *slaps self in head* LOLOL!

Now I know though LOLOL! Beautiful piece by the way! :)
