I'm awed by the details you've managed to capture here. The little hairs on the leaves are exquisite.

They really are quite woolly! Especially if you run your hand up the spikes, instead of down them. It feels all downy-soft.

These are the local natives I've planted in our back garden, since I'm a big fan of propagating local natives to keep the same local fauna (butterflies / birds etc.) around the place, rather than attracting the pests.

In Spring, I'll get an even bigger influx of jewel beetles this year. *grin*
