You do indeed! I was just admiring the photo of Bateleur Eagle again, and I'm eager to see it in person. :)

I am pretty sure you'll love it even more in person. The totem work always seems to work that way. The internet and photos just never do them justice.

Oh, I'm quite certain I'll be even more impressed in person! I also went back and read the description (which I don't with your totem pieces until I have looked at the art, because the image has more than the words, yes?) and I could use more of those influences in my life. Now I just have to school myself to patience waiting for it to arrive!

Heh, that's the one frustrating thing about global postage services! The time it takes for things to arrive. *shakes fist* Bateleur Eagle will be sent off today however, so hopefully that shaves some of the time off. :)

I'm actually not worried about the international part of the post -- it's my local customs/mail that sometimes seems to sit on things deliberately. (Seriously, I've had items travel the length and breadth of the United States in two days, and take another week to get to me. :P In some cases it would literally be quicker to go get the item myself.)

Thinking of your art generally, have you had any word back from the person who used so much without permission? I know it's only been a very short time, but I'm morbidly curious about how this is going to play out. I hope she'll see reason and work with you.

Nothing yet, though I did look at her forum section and she hasn't logged in since November. She hasn't used her Twitter since December 2009, so we'll see I guess?

I've found a form to contact her ISP just in case, too.

Hoorah! Thank you. :)
I like it when I update my website. The exceedingly rare occasions I do, anyway.

Yeah! White Tailed Deer!

(OMG, I never looked, I wonder if the Mulies are in there)

Unfortunately deer and bear are under-represented because of way too much focus on non-mainstream totems. I'm sorry!

Nono! I am SO for the support of the forgotten and under appreciated totems. There is nothing to be sorry for!

Me neither. =) You know, until about a year ago, I thought my close friend had made that saying up by herself--she was the only one I'd ever heard it from. ^^

You indeed rock. This makes me so excited. You've introduced me to many critters I never heard of before. And for more common totems, you have some interesting insights I've never heard of before.
Do you think you will ever do those requested write ups? I think I'm going to print out your Wolf and Vulture on nice paper to frame beneath your art and was going to do the same for Hyena when/if you write one. *please don't take that as any sort of pressure to do so*

I really should. I wish I had more time (or money) to devote to the totem website.

I think part of it is I'm intimidated by doing files on the more popular animals too. Like, for example, I remember doing Wolf, I was fraught with anxiety over that one. Is that insane? I'm insane.

Horned parakeet? What?

I had never heard of such a bird until now. And it's SO COOL OMG THE HEAD FEATHERS!!!

I know right? It's on my list of animals to draw for the as totems series. :D
