The black and white for this was an utter bitch, and probably the most intensive inkwork I've had to do for a while. The photo does none of this justice, but that's okay.

I'm really proud of this picture so far. I went from feeling ambivalent about it, to hating it, to being uninterested (Dani), to finally loving it. The predominant colours, so that you're not wondering, will be in the blue / magenta family, with the dirty brown of feral rabbits thrown in, and silver / platinum accents. It's going to be coloured fairly startlingly, I hope. I'm going back to my roots.

So the next question - the rabbit in your icon, and I think some of the ones in the rabbit piece, have the little circle. It reminds me of Mongolian and southwest stuff as well, so I was wondering if there was any significance beyond the visual element?

I'm not sure what Mongolian stuff looks like (not enough for it to remind me of this, anyway), my style is definitely influenced by Indigenous styles globally (including the Vilturj glyph system), but at this point I was just experimenting inside my own style. I wasn't trying to put in any external influences, but I don't doubt they are there. We are only ever a collection of everything we have experienced, in so many ways.

More thinking about how some Altaic types believe that the energetic centers at the top of the head, and at the heart, show up as different colored points of light.
