[Art] Rabbit Girl - Pre-Colouring.

The black and white for this was an utter bitch, and probably the most intensive inkwork I've had to do for a while. The photo does none of this justice, but that's okay.






I'm really proud of this picture so far. I went from feeling ambivalent about it, to hating it, to being uninterested (Dani), to finally loving it. The predominant colours, so that you're not wondering, will be in the blue / magenta family, with the dirty brown of feral rabbits thrown in, and silver / platinum accents. It's going to be coloured fairly startlingly, I hope. I'm going back to my roots.

Wow. I wish I had a more articulate word. But... WOW. "Just" the black and white is...how many hours? I love the one rabbit nibbling on the bandwork while popping out her eye. Cute/horrifying.

I don't know how many hours today. But most of it was already done and it still needed two solid hours this morning just to 'touch it off.' The spirals were the worst. The bulk of this picture is spirals. It hurted my hand.

This piece is very stark and grim... but I still smiled at the rabbit popping up over the bandwork on the neck. I'm very curious how you will colour this, because even the black and white is unnerving.

the most disturbing thing continues to be the eyes. It snares you and forces you to look. Not gentle. At least, to me.

But still, it's awesome art and I can't wait to see the coloring.

I love the extra detail in the rabbit fur and what is probably shadowing around the band. The extra little black bunny there is an added touch, too.

Did you deliberately draw the eye-bunny's eye so that it looked like her own eye? It seems that way to me.

Man, between you, Watership Down, and Petshop of Horrors, bunny's have stopped being cute and started being creepy XD

I love this b+w version though, I'm inspired to use more textures now instead of just the dots and lines like with Fennec fox.
