Amazon Milk Frog as Totem

One of the fun things about my request lists, is that people often pick something vague like 'tree frog,' and then I get to pick which species I draw/paint.

So for this one, I went with the seriously awesome looking Amazon Milk Frog. They're also known as the Mission Golden-Eyed Tree Frog, and the Blue Milk Frog.

The Amazon milk frog is found in rainforests in the wild, and is considered a fairly difficult frog to care for in captivity.

They really have crosses in their eyes? That's too cool. I love the rainbow "leaf" it's clinging to.

This is so awesome! I know other people have said it, but the cross in the eye is cool, and so is the rainbow leaf. I also like that leg is defined by a thick black line because it adds to the milkiness of the Amazon Milk Frog. A very cool addition to the 'as Totem' series.

These are my favorite frogs! I actually got to care for a pair of them at one point when I worked in a more exotic pet store. Gorgeous things! Great work!

Um, I have considered it, but right now, having no car, access to a train station, and an inability to tolerate meeting new people it's not really feasible.

I'd love to show in galleries though, one day. I'm not sure this specific series is gallery-worthy though.

Yeah! They do. Some of them have bigger crosses, others have smaller ones. I went about medium size. :)
