Himalayan Brown Bear as Totem

It was actually a lot of fun drawing this animal; firstly because there wasn't many reference pictures for colouring, so I had to rely on a couple of documentary snapshots, and then basically look at other bears that live in similar climates. And it's always a pleasure drawing an animal that doesn't have 4,000 different reference pictures. Lol.

Secondly, the Himalayan animals just don't get enough love.

Anyway, a little known fact about the Himalayan brown bear, is that it is probably the animal at the root of legends regarding the Yeti. :)

Amazon Milk Frog as Totem

One of the fun things about my request lists, is that people often pick something vague like 'tree frog,' and then I get to pick which species I draw/paint.

So for this one, I went with the seriously awesome looking Amazon Milk Frog. They're also known as the Mission Golden-Eyed Tree Frog, and the Blue Milk Frog.

The Amazon milk frog is found in rainforests in the wild, and is considered a fairly difficult frog to care for in captivity.

Asiatic Lion as Totem

Also known as the Indian Lion and the Persian Lion. This beautiful creature is critically endangered, and there are less than 350 alive in the wild today.

Also, I've finished the inking for Raven of Water, and started the inking for Raven of Fire. Once I've knocked them out, I'll probably do elemental dragons, and some more of the 'portrait series' I've been doing.
