Hey, I updated my website with a whole bunch of stuff!

Includes an article on do's/don't's of bindrunes, some stuff on movement meditations, a new 'thoughts' section (including what I think about ongoing trends of disrespecting the UPG) and some other things.

Some good words there on UPG. It's definitely something that my community has issues with. Thank you.

Aw thanks! Yeah I had it up here for a while and thought 'what the hell' and decided to put it up.

Good stuff. I agree with you for the most part on the UPG stuff. Just because something is valid only for you doesn't make it less valid.

*nods*

I try not to project any of my beliefs onto other people, not the ones I've learnt from people, not books, and not UPG... so for me it's kind of easy to accept UPG since I'm not going to be parading it 'as fact' for others.

The UPG link doesn't work for me. :(

It's working for me and others, have you tried this:

It works now!

I think you've raised some really good points, in particular by drawing the comparison between a 13-year-old who thinks the Morrighan is nice and fluffy and has never been challenged and an experienced practitioner's UPG. People don't seem to realise that UPG is legitimate and that by gently nudging the newer people in the Craft away from inaccuracies, there's an increasing chance the UPG we see will be a useful learning tool for many.

Yup, it's like they value discrimination over education. :/ And then have the audacity to seem surprised when there's a whole bunch of uneducated fluffs out there.

Yup, it should be working now. If you access it from the sitemap it works fine. But if you go into the individual categories and access it from there, I had forgotten one of '/' those in the address. Heh. It should be fine now if you just refresh the page. :)

I was reading the movement mediation article, and "ZEN" popped into my mind. I'm not sure how common it is in Aussie, but in America, there is a certain "zen" about the zoned-out state (or non-ordinary reality) your mind enters during repetitive motions. Thought I'd share that.

Also, when I was reading to trust your own UPG instead of dismissing things, I couldn't help imagining you telling me to "grow a pair." XD

Lol, yeah. For those who dismiss their own UPG, I wish they would find a bit more inner strength about it. Since UPGs can be super valuable, not just to themselves, but to others.

I agree, although for people like me (chronically insensitive), it tends to be much easier said than done. I'm probably similar to a lot of atheists and not-quite-sures out there. I don't get Gods or spirits informing me about the world; it is once in a blue moon that I Feel Anything/Anyone. (Don't get me wrong, I am at the opposite end of giving up.) I get the general impression that most of the shamanists on Wildspeak and pagans on your flist are very connected with the Otherworlds. I don't know if you do this, but I think it's sometimes forgotten that there are those of us interested in the Otherworlds/paganism that see little more than a faded shadow.

I rely on my semi-undeveloped intuition. Feedback from the pagan community is a good way for me to explore/solidify hunches. (Come to think of it, I've never encountered someone slamming/disrespecting my beliefs on Wildspeak.) I look forward to eventually having something pieced out enough that it can be gently challenged. :)

I love you Wildspeak site. Would it be okay to, somewhere down the line, ask for a disk version of it which I would pay for?

Oooo you know, this reminds me of something totally naughty, but I don't even have that website backed up. If it ever got hacked.... well, it would make baby Jesus cry.

It's on my long to-do list.

But, if I like *ever* back it up, you would be welcome to a disk version, or even like an uploadable file. I mean the whole thing is text based so even with like over a 100 articles, it'd still be small.

Very interesting read on UPG. I agree this is a very personal experience and others should be respecting of this.

I learned long ago that not everything is book verse etc.

:) It's really cool that you've learned that. It's sad when you meet people who refuse to honour their own UPG, and I'm glad you do.
