This also counts as my photo of the day.

Pig-footed bandicoots are one of the most unlikely creatures I've ever seen. Marsupials who have had some toes fuse into what looked like little hooves, and who, according to settlers, had the most ungainly gait, and looked like they were hop-skipping everywhere.

They are, of course, extinct.

I have just done a big (for me, 40+ people at once is big) Flist cut for varying reasons.

The main reasons are that I feel I am no longer reading, or able to keep up with your journal; and/or vice versa. Some choices were very, very difficult to make, because we have had good times or discussions with each other in the past. But it isn't the past anymore, it is the present, and I have to look at things as they are now, as opposed to how they were months or years ago.

Some are artists or authors who I can still follow at Twitter or Facebook or DeviantArt, where they're often more active anyway. In some cases our paths have simply branched far away from one another, and I feel my life might be going in a different direction. In some cases I never got to know you well, even after some years.

For those who want to stay for the art or photography, please do. It's your call, of course. For those who stayed for the shamanism, feel free to join my shamanism forum at wildspeak.com, if you haven't already.

Thank you for enriching my journal and/or allowing me to enrich yours, even if it was just for a little while. Or for many years.
