A cloud compilation. I actually haven't been taking quite as much cloud photography lately, mostly just because of weird circumstances that mean I'm often not in a position to get outside when the sky is going to be most glorious. But I'll more than make up for this on our humid and stormy summer days, I'm sure. :)

Sunset - honestly one of the most brilliant and beautiful I had EVER seen, and boy howdy have I seen some spectacular ones in Perth.

Glorious skies! I was enjoying the heavens in particular last night. We are currently having a "super moon" (and will have a blood moon tomorrow night) so the moon was enormous and almost full, but what was really remarkable was the clouds. They were coming in series, blown from the south (very unusual for here), in thicker and thinner translucent bands, equidistant. The effect was very like watching rollers on the ocean, but from "underneath" as it were, looking though the cloud-waves at the moon. It was quite remarkable and lasted for hours until the cloud cover became so thick that it covered the sky shortly before moonset. This evening it's almost perfectly clear with just a mild breeze, and the moon lies enormous in the east. Hopefully we will have clear skies for tomorrow's celestial event!

There are times where I've experienced skies here which were entirely unique -- there's never been anything remotely similar before or since. The ocean sky was such a phenomenon I suspect, which is a pity since it was spectacular (literally a spectacle). I have hopes that our current semi-cloud will clear off for the blood moon tonight. :)
