Lechenaultia biloba - a happy member of our garden.





Acacia spathulifolia - in full, glorious spring flower. Honestly, one of my favourites. Fucking bombproof once it's been established, which basically means one summer of watering it, and then you never have to water it again. In fact, you really shouldn't! Even if you wanted to! And in reward for not watering it at all after that first summer, it gives you flowers and jewel beetles and happy native bees. :)

Boy, maybe seems to really ham it up for the camera. Or probably just in general. *g*

Maybe really does. She's not afraid of the camera (having been raised from a kitten with limited-to-almost-no exposure to flash photography. Also, she likes looking at things, so eye-contact is sometimes her just fascinated by the fact that I'm holding up a red object at her! Lol.

Maybe made me laugh (that tongue, oh dear!), your blue flowers are exquisite, and I envy your rain. We're under a heavy snowfall warning here, 20 cm at last forecast. I've planned to work from home tomorrow just to escape, and consequently cracked a bottle of red wine that was given to me. It's interesting, violets and red fruits (mostly blackberry), and tastes of spring. Alas, that season is far from me!

Your stew also looks delectable, though of course I wouldn't dare to consume any. *enjoys vicarious spring weather*

Her tongue in that first photo is just ridiculous! When I saw that was the photo I'd gotten, I laughed. Hee.

Those blue Lechenaultia are incredible, and so *profuse* for about a month. Anyone who tells me Australian native plants are boring just haven't looked hard enough.

That first picture :D also in the cat mischief one, Maybe look so BIG! I think I had always been stuck with an image of her being still kitten-like. But she's a grown-up cat, and has been for a while, haha.
