I have been working on totem illustrations that I can't show you yet because it's part of a super sekrit project that should - hopefully - have sneakpeeks coming soon!
In the meantime, here are the photos from day 3 of our holiday down south.
My art studio is such a mess at the moment.
Honestly.
Canal Rocks

To get to Conto's Spring... go offroad in your non-offroad vehicle.

Then walk over some slopes until you hit this oddly unexpected grassy green.

Ta dah! Beach!

We didn't actually go to Conto's Spring itself (a freshwater spring pouring happily out of limestone cliffs), but we did meander along the shoreline.

As always, we had the whole place to ourself. On the way back, we saw a couple with a friendly, calm and sweet black labradoodle.

Then go to Canal Rocks, there they are, all the way down the bottom of the lookout.

Look up, hmm, better change my camera lens.

There you are! Nankeen kestrels.

Pretty rocks.

It was far bluer on the left.

Then I spent entirely too long taking photos of wave-spray.

I have a problem and clearly need help.

Teczejazi! On Caves Road we were lucky to see some spectacular Teczejazi (er, rainbow dragons). This was just the beginning, but it was also one of the most spectacular. All in all, we saw approximately 7 full rainbows in a period of about thirty minutes.

Date: 2012-08-15 07:02 pm (UTC)Gorgeous photos of a gorgeous country. Thank you for sharing them! I'm particularly intrigued by the kestrels of course, since I'm not familiar with the species.
