I do know one thing,
my hands are out of practice for spirals.
I can do them, I just cramp sooner.
Glen keeps cooing over how much he loves this one.
Love isn't the right word for me... It's more that I know I'm on the right track.

I really like the stylistic sense of the tentacles rising up. And the way the texture on the suit contrasts with the spirals in the background. (This is a tangential question, but have you seen Samurai Jack? Your tentacles remind me of some of the art in the series.

to this day I have no idea about the storylines

The basic premise was that a battle with an evil spirit flung a samurai warrior into the future (in which the evil spirit controls the universe) and he has to try to return to his own time and place to defeat the evil. Essentially they had free reign to do whatever they wanted, plot wise. Civilization of talking dogs engaging in archaeology? Check. Alien bounty hunters? Check. Various bits of mythology and history? Check. Nods to various classic themes and/or films and/or cultural icons? Check. They did some very interesting things, like having an episode entirely without dialogue. The only sounds were environmental, like snow melting and dripping from the trees, and the wind, and the twang of a bow string. :D

I liked the series enough that I own it on DVD. I thought if you hadn't seen it that you would like the art. There's an episode that's vaguely Indian based (in terms of the colours and the architecture) where the plant growth reminds me strongly of the forms of the tentacles.
