Geraldton wax. A lovely, durable shrub with proliferate flowering seasons.

Eucalyptus and melaleuca.

Not sure what this is.

Member of the pea family.

We spent about thirty minutes sitting on the patch of grass across from the lake, by the acacia park.

View from King's Park (one of the many.)

Underneath the small treetop walk.

No idea.

Lechenaultia biloba - same as what we have in our garden! Just more mature.

One of the many beaches near Hillarys boat harbour.

Sunset at the beach is lovely.

This poor juvenile raven was getting absolutely hammered by these two willie wagtails. I mean hammered.

Poor Raven!

Those mean wagtails just kept on hassling them, didn't they?

I love how the first photo of the eucalyptus flower shows that they start out with lids. :D

With the dark purple and white plant where you don't know what it is -- the stamens coming out look almost like a snake's tongue. It's very interesting to see something botanical look so biological. I also love the various park and beach photos. Beautiful place! :)

It looks similar to something that used to grow on my GP's office's front wall. Stuffed if I know what it is, though :(

Strike that last comment, is it possibly this - a Kennedia nigricans? http://florabase.dec.wa.gov.au/browse/profile.php/4042

Even if it's not, it looks pretty similar to what I remember, and it looks like it would grow around here, so I think I want one anyway :D

Wow, stunning photos as always. :) I love seeing the different plants and flowers there, so different from what I'm used to, and no less beautiful!

These are all stunning.
I adore seeing the flowers close up and seeing the things that are the same and that are different about the bush on the other side of the country

What a gorgeous group of pictures. I am in love with the eucalyptus flowers and that unknown flower. Oh, and all of the beach/ocean shots. And the raven shots. And... *sheepish grin* I think you get the picture. LOL!
