I'm actually working on four commissions right now, but as two are gifts, their reveal will have to wait until they are with their respective owners!
Due to about four hours of heavy touch-typing yesterday, and a full day of inking today, I'll be resting my hands for the rest of the day; and probably tomorrow as well. And then - to colouring!

But here are the other two:

Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep

Great Horned Owl

You always rock the birds so much! I've always had a place in my heart for bighorn after seeing a herd of them in Colorado. The male stood in front of our car until all his ladies safely crossed the road.

The eyes on the owl (and the feathers on the wings) are particularly great -- I look forward to seeing that coloured. I see them in fair numbers, so I'm fond of the species generally, in a very familiar way. In one spot near me there are so many nesting in a forested stretch surrounded by grassland that you can hear them territorial calling in sequence at dusk. One owl will hoot (a soft "whoo-whoo-who-hooo-who) and then the one five yards away will take it up, then the next, then the next... It's actually quite beautiful to listen to in the deepening twilight. :)

The Bighorn is also very nice. The one's I see are commonly a little rough looking, so I'll be curious to see if that comes out in the colouring phase, or if your "Bighorn Sheep" is naturally a more elegant beast than the ones we shake our fists and swear at because they will. not. get. off. the. road. (In places where they're protected, of course, and/or it's not hunting season.)

So very gorgeous! I want to ruffle the owl's chest feathers, and skritch the sheep's nose.

I LOVE the ram's expression! They're such neat animals (should be the mascot for some anti-headache remedy :P )

I always see those owls flying back to their roosts at sunrise when I'm out in the fields. They're quite a site to behold as they swoop down.
