I've created a new community for Australian native gardening, and gardens, and plant recommendations:

[community profile] oz_native_gardening

[personal profile] danilicious is co-administrator because she knows what I'm talking about way more than I do. She's already posted an article on Eremophilas! Go check it out. :)

Feel free to pass it around to other people who like gardening with Australian things; or who have always wanted to. And remember, tomorrow's Follow Friday! In Australia...anyway.

I've been meaning to do this for a while (or I should say; Dani has) so... we've finally done it.

I joined and I bet Evan will too. We plan to have a fully or almost fully native garden.

That is awesome!

Reading all your adventures about native gardening has got me really rather wanting to landscape/garden with Colorado natives if/when I ever have, you know, a yard. (Roommates' lawn does not count.) Makes so much more sense than trying to plant water-needy non-natives in what is functionally a desert.

Looks interesting! I'd be interested to learn more about native Australian plants. =D

Very interesting. I've no expertise in plants further south than the American state of Georgia so I will be studying this.

Joining---California is also dry-in-Summers, with some native plants that die if watered
