Moet was actually inciting her to play. This was his original position, as he looked at her and sat like this like 'come on! Play with me! Play with me!' You probably can't see it. But Glen and I can't see it. Actually, maybe some of you can see it too. About thirty seconds after I snapped this shot, Moet and Maybe were playing.

Woo, play time! Look at them go, so ferocious looking, but not. :D

And HOLY MOET'S PUPILS in the last photo! That's definitely the look my cats get when they spot something they wanna pounce!

Moet's pupils are not that bad there, but he definitely wanted to play!

I can definitely see the "Come play with me" in the last photo. The tension in his shoulders, the distended pupils, the relaxed forehead, relaxed jaw, and then the way his whiskers are forward and the whisker pads raised -- it's the feline equivalent of a broad mischievous grin and a sparkle in the eyes. Heh. Or actually a dog's "play face", particularly on some of the shorter faced breeds. It's a little hard to articulate, but if you look at it from the side in an individual with short, close hair, it's like all the facial muscles are mostly relaxed but still pointing right at the target that's being invited to play. Moet's whole expression says "Fun!". Out of the other photos I'm most amused by the last, with the tuft of hair flying out of the fray. And then you wonder why you end up with little spindles of hair about the house...

I can see the "PLAY WITH ME" from Moet - earprick, forward whiskers, and HYOOGE PUPILS. Mostly the pupils.

The first pic is awesome.

The last picture of them playing, they look kind of like a cat yin-yang. XD I can actually see the mischief in Moet's expression, especially the pupils. My cat's pupils get that dilated just before she pounces something. ^^

If Moet was a dog, I would totally expect a "whuff" to occur during that last photo. Followed by running towards the whuff target. Not all dogs bother with the whuff XD
