It's fascinating to see the differences between all of your "redo" pieces and their originals. I love the way you depict reptiles in your style--there's just something about the coloring, details, etc. about them that really stands out to me (I've felt similar for some of your other reptile pieces, like Crocodile and some of the snakes). =3

I must admit I do love drawing reptiles. That crocodile as totem from ages ago is still one of my all-time favourite pictures for the deck, and in general. I don't know what it is, because it's not like I spiritually work with them or anything, I just seem to 'get' it? I don't know. Maybe just as an artist, they're a subject I really enjoy. :D

The scales are insanely gorgeous and completely convincing! This graceful beast is one of the most realistic you've done.

I really, really like this piece. The intensity of that red-orange color is incredible, and really highlights the coloring of the goanna. And the detail of the scaling! *swoons*

Oh. Oh WOW. I thought the black and white was good; this absolutely blows me away. The colour, mixed with your epically inked scales, looks like this dragon can crawl right off the page!

That orange-y red is just perfect. :)
