It's insanity. I've been watching Premier Bligh's statements about it, and it's just crazy. :/ They are as well prepared as they can be, but... it's still a Cat 5 cyclone. :(

I've fired up the BOM's radar image to watch now. You can just see the edge of the storm spiraling in on the Cairns one.

Seriously creepy! The Willis Island radar has already been destroyed by the storm, it seems.

Sure do hope everybody gets the hell outta there safe and sound. But holy hell, we sure do live in the greatest country in the world sometimes. 8-)
