Really sad for a lot of people who didn't understand what type of flood insurance they had... I hope they get enough money from the relief appeal to get back on their feet if that's the case. I've been taking notes on the good insurance companies (SunCorp has flood insurance as a regular part -not additional- of their home insurance which is really impressive imo) - I reckon they should name and shame all the bad ones!

I can't remember what kind of insurance we get, but we went through RAC, who are pretty good at not short-changing their customers.
