Photo/s of the day (again!)
Jan. 3rd, 2011 12:01 pmBecause 2011 isn't 2011 without a Maybe and Moet picspam.
Man, I love this new icon.
Hee.
Anyway, have a cat, have a kitty cat!
Here's Maybe looking kind of content. Never mind. It won't last!

Well, it'll last long enough for another shot of relaxation!

And then she'll go back to her normal expression. Which is sort of mildly anxious, but not too uncomfortable. This is the look she has like 80% of the time when she's awake.

Glen and I have determined that Maybe would wait less than thirty seconds to start eating an unconscious or dead human being.

No matter what, she's still my pretty, anxious girl. She started eating my dressing gown yesterday. She's been sleeping on it for months, and yesterday she decides to start chewing on it.

The draft of Tem's Lucky Paw is on the right. The cats kind of own my art studio. Generally they respect the art and the brushes and stuff, but every now and then Maybe sniffs a sable brush and is like 'OOOOOOO THIS IS FOOOOOOOD.' No Maybe, it's not.

I can't believe we still haven't had her for a year.

Life wouldn't be right without a moody picture of Moet.

I love how direct his expression is when he looks at you. I call Maybe's name, and she rarely responds with eye contact (direct eye contact frequently makes her uncomfortable), though sometimes she'll look at your mouth. Moet looks directly at you. For a long time. And sometimes, if you maintain the contact long enough, he'll come up for pats.

Moet doing what Moet does every day that I have a paintwater glass on my desk. Drinking from the freaking paintwater. I think there's a law that says if there's a body of water in the house (toilet, fishbowl, the water in the shower after the shower is turned off, paintwater, your glass of water, etc.) that isn't their actual waterbowl, they will always prefer to drink from that.

Date: 2011-01-03 10:27 am (UTC)He always drinks water in a refined manner. And he doesn't 'snatch' food, so if I give Moet and Maybe the same amount of a treat at the same time, I have to hold Maybe back so she doesn't steal his. She has NO respect for his food. Especially if he's eating it slowly and delicately!
This is also cat - however - who won't take his favourite foods of all time directly from your hands, and will wait for you to put it on the floor (or his bowl) so he can control how he eats it.

Date: 2011-01-03 04:41 am (UTC)Oh Gods, Moet and the paintwater for the win. That's so gross and yet he looks so dignified doing it that it cracks me the hell up. XD

Date: 2011-01-03 05:26 am (UTC)I wouldn't be surprised by Maybe nomming on an unconscious or dead body in less than 30 seconds.
And I adore that shot of Moet drinking out of the paintwater glass!

Date: 2011-01-03 08:56 am (UTC)Haha, the one of Moet drinking out of the glass made me laugh. Willow tries to do that, except it's plain water rather than paint water.

Date: 2011-01-03 02:25 pm (UTC)My brain read this and was like "zomg, YOU HAVE A KITTY ON THE AUTISTIC SPECTRUM". And, then, I stopped and thought back to other things you've written about Maybe and was like "IT MAKES SENSE, TOO. :D"
I... have no idea where that came from. I blame it on the head cold and being half-asleep.
