Date: 2010-10-16 01:41 am (UTC)The color scheme for the European Badger amuses me, if only because I hadn't expected black and white to overshadow the purples, blues, and yellows of the background. Yes, I apparently have a thing with color schemes.
The River Otters are adorable. I think I may just have found part of
And the Anubis? *GUH* He stands out in such sharp contrast to the background, as if he's almost alive. He reminds me of a statue I saw at a women's retreat/ranch in San Antonio over a decade ago. That statue was of Bastet, but there's a sense of energy and presence in this piece that reminds me of what I'd felt in that Bastet statue. It's a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. I think I needed that, so thank you very much for that.

Date: 2010-10-16 07:35 am (UTC)Well, the badger is in the foreground, which would explain some of that. It's also not technically yellow, but a pale grass green. If you're browser is showing a strong yellow, the colour balance may be off.
I must admit I looooove the colours for that Anubis picture, and the way they've come together like that.

They are all so stunning. I adore the colours on this batch, so much. I wasn't expecting the striking aspect of Anubis, it's incredible. You are a demoness, no prints, blargh! Woe! Angst! ;___;

Date: 2010-10-16 04:06 am (UTC)I really like the detail shots, too! Seeing the texture of the metallic paint against the rest of it is really neat.

Date: 2010-10-16 07:33 am (UTC)Depends on the totem, really (wolf almost always wants something different; maybe tired of always being depicted the same way?). But in this case, the clients requested similar colours to before (which is something I can do, unless the totem really wants something different, in which case I'd've double-checked with the client.)
