[Art] Wandsuna - Foxes Don't Cry (completed ink)

I finished the inking for this last night, at around midnight. But had to wait until I got good lighting so I could get photos!


















This picture is for scale, mostly. So you can see how big the details are compaired to my fingerses.

Wow! I love the shell inside the orb. The dot work is so amazing! And the robes are so intricate. Very nice :D

The shell is one of my favourite parts. I'm still not sure if I'm going to colour it (everything else will be coloured), since it's one of the focal points. And, and...dot work!

I have made prints available at my DeviantArt account. Though I couldn't get a resolution big enough for anything larger than about 9 inches / 17 centimetres. :D

I like this just as it is, and yet I want to see it colored, too. I really, really like the detail in this piece, and am still drawn to the crying fox.

It's actually really good that you're drawn to the crying fox. He's shoved down in a corner, but he's kind of the focal point of the picture after the person looks at the Wandsuna figure, and then (hopefully!) realises the Wandsuna figure is looking down at a particular fox.

I can't wait to colour it. But I've decided to make prints available of the inked version over at DeviantArt just in case.

I hope so too. My camera doesn't actually have enough megapixels for me to get high enough quality photos for big prints without compromising fine details; so at some point, I have a good excuse to bust out for a new camera.

I love how the foxes are imbricated, and with only one crying...

I'm curious about the sea imagery. It fits so very well with the foxes. That's odd, as I don't see the relation between the two concepts. Yet, it works, so a relation there must be... Argh, I'm intrigued!

It's an interesting juxtaposition with the snail in the globe and the squids in the spirit's outfit surrounded by all the foxes.
