The gecko looks pretty awesome! I can't wait to see it colored!
For some reason though, I feel like your sketches are different. Like.. more real I guess. Not that your other portraits weren't real, just that... MORE REAL. :D
These are both completely charming. I particularly like the wombat, but of course that might change depending on how they take shape. I also really like how you've done the gecko's eye. :)
I must admit, I have a personal connection with wombat totem which probably comes through. They're not an overt influence in my life, but they've always in been in the background. I think I'll end up doing some serious work with Wombat, one day.
