Meet Chelsie. Chelsie is awesome. No one is entirely sure what she is, but she sure is awesome-looking. Wait until you see her markings! Nope, you gotta wait until I start colouring for that. :)

It's weird, but if I can't get the eyes 'down' in the sketch, then I'm in trouble. So I kind of build everything up from there. For example, I've started inking, and I've started inking the eyes first. Heh.

I'm the same way! My mom thinks it's so weird that I start with the eyes and if they aren't right, the rest of the drawing just never pans out properly. :)

I'm beginning to wonder if it's more common than I was first led to believe.

She really does. I've actually done a ton more work today (i.e. have nearly finished the inking process completely) and will get pictures to you (and DW) tomorrow. I think I found the right amount of 'texture' in the background, and I did put mountains in!
