[Art] Ornamental Lighting - the Green Range

So happy to get this one done just before the weekend (an election weekend, no less!), wish I had a better camera though. Might be time to look at investing in a camera with enough megapixels to handle my artwork!

Ornamental Lighting - The Green Range

An illustration for an upcoming exhibition, in which I will be exploring an imperfect future where augmented animals are used for human profit.

The second being Birds of Paradise hybridised and genetically modified to provide sources of ornamental and decorative lighting for the rich and famous. This is the 'green' range.

Photo without flash (i.e. 'flat' colour in regular, non-artificial lighting). No detail because my camera essentially went 'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.'

It is so luminous! I love it to bits.

You know those light-bulds along the top bird's back? I thought at first they were like guitar tuning pegs. Well maybe electric bass tuning pegs. Ok, so they are lightbulbs when I get my head out of the music paradigm, but I like the confusion it creates in my mind.

Ee, thank you. This one is very dense, but in person, it has a lot more clarity that I couldn't quite get in the photo which is really unfortunate. :/ But oh well, I am so glad people still love it!
