Oh, and I see someone snapped up the hoaztin! Excellent! :D
I really like the colour scheme, and in particular you have the background/greed energy points very right for the natural colours where they occur (which I realize can be entirely different from the spiritual symbolism).
Yeah, sometimes the animal wants colours that are very similar to their environment, and that was definitely true of Hoatzin. Hoatzin didn't want a glyph either, and was the only one out of this current batch.
What about just flat out doing ACEO's of your totem guys? May make owning an original of yours more accessible to some folks...and maybe a nice trade with some artists. *cough* ;)

I tried ACEOs ages ago (about two years), but found them just to be too small, and very specific size-wise. I didn't enjoy them (and I don't enjoy owning them either), and didn't end up putting the results online, and actually threw them out. I mean they are almost half the size of what I'm doing now, which is just incredible to me. I suspect I'd have to change my style enough that it would still be quite labour intensive; which is what I'm trying to avoid.
If I just worked in watercolours and basic linework, or just coloured pencils, I don't think it'd be too bad. But I don't know if I'll ever go the ACEO route.
That's a bummer, but I completely understand your hesitation! Your mini totems boggle my mind at how much detail they have for being the size they are <3
