WE GOT 70x7!!! I'm still stoked about this. The Melbourne concert in June was still better in some ways, but this one was good. The Perth crowds are rowdy. Lol.

Did you get Jesse Lacey saying that they're taking some time apart as a band when they get back, to be family men? No recording for some time?

Also the whole 'I'm turning 30 in June.' Heh.

How beauuutiful was the acoustic?! Did you get both Jesse and Vin doing Crack The Sky? I actually shed a tear. Amazing.

Nah he didn't tell us that but I've felt in my bones for some time that they'll be taking a hiatus. This tour was just too incredible, it felt like the crescendo at the end of a long few years touring.

I just hope they get their shit together and record again because it would be a crying shame if they just drifted into family life forever.

It was just Jesse doing Crack the Sky actually, and just him doing Soco. He prefaced each with 'you'll have to sing along with me, because I don't have four other band members here right now, so if you know the parts, can you guys harmonise?'

Which I thought was adorable.

And yeah, he was very much repeating the fact that this is 'the end of the road for us, we're going to be family men, and hopefully that will be what records are made of.'

Which sounds to me like it may really be some time before we see a new album. I cry. CRY!

At least TDGARIM is a good album though.

*purrs*

Mmm, thunderstorms.

Whenever it looked like rain or storm was coming to Boise, I'd sing to the sky and the clouds, asking them to 'bring the rain on down.' I had a nice little chant.

I used it for other things too, sort of, because the song was about renewal and regeneration and purification. All that stuff rain and storm are so good for.

Oh, this isn't a reference to real thunderstorms, but lines from a song. :)

I went to see Brand New come in last night.

The section in question that I quoted is from a song called Degausser which goes:

'take me, take me back to your bed,
I love you so much that it hurts my head
say I don't mind you under my skin,
I let the bad parts in, the bad parts in.
Well you're my favourite bird
and when you sing I really do wish you'd wear my ring
no matter what they say I'm still the king
the storm is coming
the storm is coming in...'

I think you didn't call it quite correctly hon cause we're still waiting and it's still bloody hot! :)

It wasn't a call about the weather, it's lyrics quoted from the band I went to see last night:

'take me, take me back to your bed,
I love you so much that it hurts my head
say I don't mind you under my skin,
I let the bad parts in, the bad parts in.
Well you're my favourite bird
and when you sing I really do wish you'd wear my ring
no matter what they say I'm still the king
the storm is coming
the storm is coming in...'

Cool lyrics!

I'm so glad you had a fantastic time! YAY!!!

I hate this weather already. Can it just rain already? :) *hugs*

Their lyrics are very awesome in general. :)

And yeah, I feel like this humidity is just building and building to something big, you know?

I have my first session at Francesca's place tonight, as opposed to the offices in Alexander Heights.
It's going to be weeeeeird.

Not bad, just weird. Ugh. I am doing so many things that put me outside of my comfort zone at the moment. I am just looking forward to a day where I can curl up with my Pokemon and with NCIS and eat chocolate and not *do* anything.

By the way, your floral arrangements (I know I've said this before) are STILL really amazing. :)

It'll be a different experience. Like you said, not bad, just a different experience. Be positive, I'm sure Francesca will do everything in her power to ensure you are safe with her.

When you're up to it, that offer of pizza and NCIS is more than valid :) You don't have to talk to me, you can art, and I can scrapbook, with NCIS on and we'll eat pizza. And then when you get to thinking you actually want to talk to me, I'll be here :) *love*

The floral arrangement comment was out of the blue. I know you've said it before, but there was context to that before. What was the context here? But thank you for that. It means a lot to me when I'm doubting how good my work is sometimes...

*HUGE HUGS*

If we did meet up I'd have to get Glen to drop me off or something, as alas, I don't drive. *blush* I mean I have my licence, but I had a bad crash because of a flashback once, and I sort of haven't thought I've been safe enough on the roads since... silly really.

But I'm definitely considering it.

And heh, NCIS, pizza, scrapbooking and arting sounds awesome. Hell, I'd even be happy cutting little strips of paper for you to stick down. ;)

Today was pretty good too. She said that she was aware I was out of my comfort zone, and we didn't do a lot of 'hard' work, so to speak, but even so, I was more relaxed there than I am at the shopping complex. More people I think.

And I sometimes go back to your website where you have your arrangements and just look at them. :) You make art with flowers, and it's really awesome. And because it's a skill you can keep building on, it's something you can retire to, or do as part time work you know? Make a little extra side income or something.

But mostly, I just think it's awesome. I like flowers in general, and creative arrangements make me happy.

You live around the corner hon. It's not so far out of my way that if you wanted me to, I couldn't pick you up. But sometimes it's nice to have that comfort of someone you know rather than try to face a new situation all over.

Don't be ashamed about not having your licence. I know heaps of people who don't, for whatever reason.

I'm glad your session went well today. I'm liking Francesca a lot!

My flowers are a paying hobby at this point of time. I can't believe people think I am good enough they want me to have such a huge part of their big day... That blows my mind away! :)

Yeah Francesca never fails to surprise me with just how helpful / savvy she is. But we're quite similar in some ways, so maybe that helps too.

And yeah, your flowers are definitely good enough to be a part of people's big days! *smiles*

It would be cool to visit. Maybe after my knee surgery? Hopefully I'll relax a bit more once I don't have to think about that anymore.

THEY PLAYED 70x7!!! :D :D :D :D

We got some acoustic songs (including Soco and Play Crack the Sky, as well as Moshi Moshi and Oh Comely), and then there were two drum kits on the stage and we got a whole heap of other stuff which was just AWESOME.

Apparently they're taking a break from the band for a while to be 'family men.' No recording for some time!

hooray!
