In 1998 I painted this outside, on a sunny day, on an art/biology camp. I was bored.





Over 10 years later, it's one of my favourite pictures.

Aw I wish I could, it's got a lot of flaws and wear and tear from years of me not giving a shit about my artwork. I didn't even know where it was until recently, last night actually, when Glen gave it back to me!

Oh no! Heh. I didn't start doing art really until I was about 15 years old (this was the year after that), before that I actually kind of sucked. A lot. A whole lot.

One day it just kind of clicked, maybe.

I do feel like I'm right there in the scene when I look at this. The shading/coloring and such, I think, and light and so forth. It's a pretty dreamy, "I could sit and look at this for hours" piece. :)
