This is the 'coloured pencil' part of the process. One of my favourite parts actually, because essentially it's just smoothing everything out, blending things in, picking out highlights, and it's a lot like colouring in an awesome colouring in book! Plus, you can see the difference like this (I didn't know if it would be as obvious if I didn't compare and contrast).

I haven't touched the flowers, or the background yet, I've worked on her face, hair, the cloak, and the wolf's face, and the energy spirals. :)

Something that struck me with this post is that this is really a very medieval style of art, with a very modern style of coloring and shading worked into it.

That really is remarkable. One would think the first photo to be relatively "done" until the transformation is seen. I really love the colour of Red Riding Hood's cape and the energy spirals in this. They glow, even at this stage of the process. :)

I love seeing the process here! Though I must say, it just makes me sratch my head even more to realise that even more work goes into these things that I originally realised (I always thought the pen work would be the slowest, but I can see this takes a lot of work too!), and yet to STILL manage to be so prolific.
