It's beautiful.

I have a hard time with bald eagles and all the national-pride connotations that go with them here in the US.

I love seeing them in the wild, though. Cuts right through all the baggage. I especially love his eye, and the fine lines in the brown feathers.

The colours in this are very striking, particularly the chakra/energy points -- what do you call them?

Anything from 'chakra balls' to 'energy wheels' to 'colour thingies.'

I think of them as energy/chakra points though. I think the most an animal has asked for is eleven. Can't remember which one that was now.
