I didn't think I was going to like this one. Because I'd never heard of a hellbender, so I looked them up. And when I looked them up and saw a photo, I said "ew". And then I felt bad. But I really like this piece a lot. Especially the earthy colors in the spirals that complement the colors in his skin. :)

I knooooow. I remember the first time I looked at reference photos for hellbender and was like 'there's no way.' And then you know, weirdly, with its colours and stuff, it looks really good on paper.

Less so in real life.
