Won't. Stop. Moving.

Sure, it's a kitten, it's probably cute right? Wrong. Mostly, kittens are annoying. Okay, well, actually, mostly they're combining annoying with annoying you with how cute they are. Every now and then though, I get a glimpse of what Maybe will look like as an adult cat, which is mostly 'wild and determined.'

Ooo. Mulch. Mulch is fascinating.

Ooo. A tree. The tree is fascinating.

Ooo. Random thing. The random thing is interesting.

Ooo. It's Moet. I am going to get him while he is turned away from me. Yes.

Ooo. Never mind. Something behind the fence is interesting.

Moet catching the mulch is apparently less interesting. Not much less.

I do, however, think *this* pose is interesting. Look! Moet has a waist! Lol.

Rawr.

Moar rawr.

Much less rawr.

O, RLY?

I haz a flaver.

Date: 2010-04-05 02:28 pm (UTC)"Quick! Engage the transporter! They're coming!" :D
I must admit, I scrolled back up, looked at the picture and imagined this phrase and giggled.
I like the one where she's about to pounce too. She always picks up one paw when she's about to pounce, which I've never seen before.

I've seen this fairly commonly with cats, and with other carnivores (rough list: domestic cats, domestic dogs, grey wolves, red foxes, mountain lions, bobcat, lynx... though never anything in the weasel family, and not bears). I think it has something to do with causing the center of balance to shift such that the animal about to pounce has at least one forelimb available to pin or grab prey, but I could be misinterpreting the mechanics.
