I always do Startail when I feel like this (which, is like shite for anyone who is curious. Lol.)

Startail - Sleeping Now


Startail was a kitten who lived in the clouds. He never knew his parents, and he had no friends, but this never mattered. Why didn't it matter? Well because for as long as he could remember, he had a star tied to his tail, and that star made him feel warm and comforted, safe and loved. He was the happiest kitten in the clouds.

And here he is sleeping, happy even now. :)





As some of you know, Startail loses his star and then embarks on an adventure to find it, meeting other things, objects and creatures that make him happy.

This colours in the scan came out AWFUL. I had to de-contrast the pic just to get the pink mildly accurate, but it means I lost the brightness of the yellow and the blue background (which is a bit brighter too). *shakes fist at scanner*.

I may try and re-scan later and then fiddle with it in photoshop, but meh, I have the original sitting in front of me so I'm happy regardless.

Re the scanner, have you tried looking at the color scanning settings and seeing if the contrast is set correctly? For really light stuff like this and lineart you have to have it set differently to normal text or darker colors. Don't ask me how you do this as I may cry.

At this stage I don't offer prints of Startail, but we'll see. I love Startail.

As for the new phase of my career, I find it rather ironic that I launch the website, and all business dies in the water, but ah well. It's only been a few months and I will keep at it. *hugs*

Peh, my scanner won't do color at all, or if it does that leads to a half hour of pressing buttons I don't understand. Sometimes I blame that on why I hardly ever do color artwork.
