[Art] Gray Wolf as Totem - 03
Mar. 4th, 2009 01:10 pmGray Wolf as Totem
Perhaps one of the most common totem animals in existence! And this is reinforced by the fact that this is now the third time that it has been requested in one of my request lists! I think I'm going to put an embargo on gray wolf requests for the next one!
Want to read about what wolf represents as a totem? Go here: http://www.wildspeak.com/vilturj/totems/wwolf.html
Also, I'm putting an embargo on gray wolf requests in the next request list; no offense folks, but three gray wolves 'as totems' is enough! At least for the next six months.

I think this is the best one you've done though, as far as the wolves go.

Date: 2009-03-04 03:09 pm (UTC)They made the request over five months ago, and I knew then that they might not be around to grab it straight away back then, and it would be unfair to place constraints on them now without even being able to let them know in advance.
I've done all I can to make contact; including leaving them a message in their inbox. It might be frustrating for you, but I want to be fair on

Date: 2009-03-04 03:13 pm (UTC)I know right? I'm not a gray wolf totem art factory. Heh.
I've drawn gray wolf for this series 3 times now, though I really enjoyed this one, I knew it would be the last for a while in this series. And I've drawn gray wolf separately again as a totem three separate times (one of which has been deleted off Livejournal).
So six pictures of gray wolf as totem, plus an additional two gray wolves in pictures of peoples spirit guides...
Well, let's just say I need a break. *grins*

Date: 2009-03-04 04:46 pm (UTC)Of course I want it. You really captured the gentler side of wolf - something so few can do. I'd love to see prints of the other two grey wolves you've done - I bet they would make a fantastic series on a wall. This is wolf calm and not kicking my ass lol.
Where would I go to find a frame to fit this beautiful piece of art? And can you message me your paypal info?

Date: 2009-03-04 06:37 pm (UTC)I've had my "as totem" pieces framed at a local frame shop. A good frame person will be able to work with you and show you different options before you pick one. They tend to have a really good eye for what looks good too. I've been really happy with mine. :)
