Binturong as Totem
The binturong; related to civets, genets and linsangs - is also known as a the bearcat (though it is neither a bear or a cat!) They are Vulnerable due to habitat destruction - they live in forest canopies - and poaching.
They are very vocal animals, and are even known to make chuckling noises when they are happy. They are important for seed dispersal, particularly the native species of the strangler fig.
