Dragons.

When I was a teen, I used to draw very detailed dragons. My sister stole them all from me, and then eventually ruined them all, so I have no more detailed dragons left (this sort of thing happened to a great deal of my artwork, I had about 10 detailed pastel pictures of wild cats as well... but Moet as a kitten went and peed on them all, and I had to throw them out *sigh*).

I also stopped doing as much of that sort of detail, in those pictures, and then stopped drawing dragons.

Today I'm going to try and do one. With detail. Prolly just graphite. My dragons seem to like graphite.
I don't expect it will be finished for some time...
We'll see.

Looking forward to the outcome of this. I REALLY like your work! And yay for this modern age of technology! If your new dragon can only make it as far as the scanner, then he or she will live on in LJ-space even if the original artpiece gets peed on.

Is that you again in your latest icon? As I may have mentioned before, you are HOT...

Oh I *wish* that was me, no that is an actress from the wonderful, awesome show Dexter. She makes me happy, and as she swears a lot - she also reminds me of me!

I'm in this one though. :)
And hey I've seen you in photos now too and you're not so bad yourself. If we lived in the same area I'd flirt with ya. A lot. :P

HEY, you're even cuter than the actress. As I know from the other photos of you I've seen. Oh, damn these thousands of miles of ocean (sigh...)

Thank you! I hope I can do justice to the idea I've got in my head.

I loved doing detailed "every single scale" dragons when I was younger! I hope you have lots of fun doing this :)

I liked these too, though your pencil sketches (remembering back to the bears you did) tend to be more detailed than mine anyway. You have the madd skills! I was always less patient, except with my totem pictures.

You'd never mentioned having a sister.
I look forward to the results.

Yeah, have a sister, she's two years younger than me (23, Glen's age), a Leo, and utterly crazy. I think she's back on drugs again, after being off them for some time.

She's funny, and I like her, but when she was a teenager she had no concept of property and stole a lot of my things, not borrowed, but 'stole', including great quantities of money sometimes. I guess we each manifested our fucked-up-ness in different ways, hers was the more typical route of promiscuity, hard drugs, stealing etc.

Frankly, with your family background, it's a tribute to the strength of anyone in your family who isn't rocking back and forth in a straight jacket.

I must admit, she is the most entrepreneurial person I know. She got with a 21 year old labourer at the age of 14, and started siphoning off his wages. She saved some of them for him, and most of them for her, and ended up with a car / furniture / clothing / drugs by about 15 - when she dropped out of school despite being in all the academic 'gifted student' programs.

These days she's an office manager for my stepdad, and manages their finances. She could have been a nuclear physicist or brain surgeon, and I think that was partly what drove her so crazy, being stuck with her own brain. She's seeing a shrink now, but I dread to think how that's going because she'd be smarter than most psychologists, and she plays games with people mentally.

She's funny, I love her to bits now that she's not living here. Lol.

It is, admittedly, better than some people frighteningly gifted and bored do with their intellect. Many lack the common sense at age fourteen to save money, even if they're bright enough to get it through various means.

She also has a Myspace page solely for her boobs. *rolls eyes*

Heck, I haven't -stopped- drawing dragons yet. Lately, it's in portraying different species of dragons from different worlds, but yup, hasn't stopped. ;)

Y'know, drawing dragons sounds like fun. I might buckle down and do so myself, when I can. I keep wanting to try and really make a unique dragon, just see what crazy stuff I can come up with. We'll see. Can't wait to see your own. :D
