Princess Stephanie's Astrapia as Totem (also known as Stephanie's Astrapia).

My first bird of paradise, and I'm happy with it. It catches the light so beautifully in real life, almost any angle brings up a glimmer.

It doesn't scan, but I don't mind. :)

Wow detail. This one has a real elegance to it.
Hey I was thinking about you yesterday - I got a really strong Vulture presence both dreaming and waking. Have you ever done Vulture in your art?
Hope you're having a phenomenal day lovely.

xoxo

I have done Vulture actually, as a commission here:

And I've also written about Vulture as a totem here:

Very lovely! Looks rather a grave expression, though.

I am deeply impressed by the detail in that, and also amazed that you're only asking $65 for it. It must have taken so long to complete.

I did actually consider putting the price up on this one, because you're right, it did take a lot longer to do. The layering of colours was just insane. Particularly on the bird, to get the right sort of iridescence that I wanted.

Buuuut, then I realised it was such a rare animal and I also had to price it to sell. So far there's been no interest in purchasing it; which happens with the rarer animals. People hang out for lynxes and wolves instead.
