[Photos] Cat time cat time

Gosh it's been a while since I've posted photos here of the cats!

I do share them on Instagram a fair bit, but often into my story these days, so they vanish in 24 hours. And I've been remiss in actually just...engaging in the pleasure of looking over my photos of them because it fills me with love all over again and then I go harass them.

(Maybe is currently sleeping right next to me).

They're older now. Maybe's heading towards 11 (or is...?) and Moet is marching towards 17.

If you know, you know. (Tbh you don't need to know. Anyway these two were basically fighting for attention while I was trying to watch Bo Burnham's Inside).



Moet's standard place next to me while I'm working. Precisely for this reason.



Moet and Maybe sharing a bed in sun rays. They don't jump the towers as often anymore, especially Moet. So I've made sure there's many more comfortable beds on the floor.

She's still pretty



This is one of my favourite things about Maybe - if you scratch her chin, she never closes her eyes, but she still gets this dopey blissful look. And it makes me laugh but also it's so fucking cute.

Moet getting my attention while I'm cross-stitching. He started doing this as a kitten, basically looking at the world upside down, though he used to do it on my lap. Now he just does it sometimes, especially when he's happy.

Maybe at night, in her 'boob weasel' state. She snuggles like this before bed every night. Moet now sleeps on the pillow next to my head.

They make my life so much happier, and it's nice that they're doing pretty well! (Though Moet's had a lot of vet visits this year).

Maybe has such beautiful eyes, and it's wonderful to see them both so well and smiling. (I've had a person -- who actually likes cats a great deal -- try to insist to me that they don't use their faces much for communication, that it's mostly body posture. Uh... no? They're more subtle than a lot of dogs, certainly, but still absolutely full of a myriad of expressions!)

People who say cats don't use their faces much, I'm just... oh dear. That being said, a lot of people think Maybe is angry when she's actually pretty relaxed (I think the set of her face makes her look a bit like she has 'resting bitch face' to some people). But oh man, and Moet and Maybe I think have also learned that I do respond to their expressions, so sometimes they seem quite expressive indeed, especially when Moet is trying to pathetically convince me that he has NEVER been patted before not EVER and I am the WORST person in the world for not immediately giving him a cuddle, lmao.

Awwww, Moet and Maybe are the cutest creatures to have graced my screen all night. Hehe
it put a smile on my face seeing how much Moet and Maybe loved their tower and of course reading about their mannerisms too. (=♡ ᆺ ♡=)
