Because I don't want to squish your friends-lists, I'm putting this under a cut.

Considering this started as a split-second random idea, that became a sketch on an offcut
I'm really happy with how this turned out. It's so shiny in real life!

There's silver paint around the leaves, green metallic paint around the raven,
and iridescent paint on the raven - some of which picked up in the scan.

Because it was a sketch knocked off in about 20 seconds with no references. :) I don't actually draw ravens that often, which is probably why a few things are off.

Ye gods! The impression of strong elemental power is just flowing all over this artwork! I *love* the green shading on the raven which just adds to the feeling of elemental connection. And it is interesting to the eye because you normally think of blueish tones with ravens.

It's too small, I think. It really is only half a centimetre bigger than this picture. It's a small, long, thin piece, and I'm not sure how DeviantArt will cope with me attempting to turn that into a print. But... we'll see. :)

Thank you, I had a lot of fun with the greens actually, people shouldn't let me loose with a green monochromatic pallet (with a tiny bit of turquoise and jade thrown in).

Hee, I was aware that I really wanted it to be light/dark when I was colouring, I'm glad it came out that way. It would have been too muddy if that flowy, windy, leafy stuff wasn't really pale.
