[Photos] Charlotte's Vineyard

So today I planted the tulips (which had been chilling nicely in the fridge for a few weeks in preparation because otherwise Western Australia - Perth in particular - just doesn't get the cold ground necessarily to make them flower properly), and hopefully that works out.
Maybe is limping and I'm unsure why. Though I did let her out for a short time, she didn't do anything particularly athletic. The garden is lousy with bees right now, so I'm going to keep an eye on it and if it doesn't resolve or she stops putting any weight on it tomorrow, down to the vet she goes.
AGAIN.
Anyway, down the road we have a nice little area to walk sometimes, in the Charlotte's Vineyard part of Ellenbrook. Here are some photos of it.
Candle Banksia

I used to go to an art group around here. There's a small community centre just off to the right.

Pacific Black Ducks

The same Pacific Blacks as before, and one male Wood Duck in the background.

I believe this may be some kind of Melaleuca sp.? God knows there are enough of them. Anyway, what you're looking at is not the flower itself or the bud, but the 'skeleton' of what remains once all the petals have fallen away.

Swamp Paperbark in flower

The same Swamp Paperbark. Has seen a bushfire or two in its time. But the bark is meant to be that way.

A bit of Australian heath.

Sunset

And the Australian Raven (Corvus coronoides) feather I found while walking around.
