I kept trying to tell myself that I wasn't going to miss higher altitudes and things that looked more like mountains than our tiny hills but I am.

I am going to miss them.

I love Perth, and its flatness is very much home for me, and our tiny hillocks and the Darling Scarp are perfect but...I will miss this.

Btw for anyone worried, I don't drive, so I was never like, taking photos and driving or anything.

Bless gorse.

Heading back to Inverness

There was a whole stretch of land here which was pretty rocking to me spiritually, and I sort of spent a good hour in a pretty heavy trance state where I was half aware of what was going on around me, and half communing with the land and the spirits of the land (and Gwyn ap Nudd, for a time, as well). As a result, I can't look at these photos without feeling something tectonic and tremendous, and I have no idea what they're like to others.

Specifically here:

Coming up is the North East, including Wick, John O'Groats and Thurso!

You had better weather than we managed further north.

Perth is not so far from other half's home turf in Stirling.

All of these are *gorgeous*. Thank you for sharing them! They are all also quite powerful. Have you read Josephine McCarthy's _Magic of the North Gate_? If not it might prove informative in this case.
