I've been working on this partly through Inktober,
and then ever since too.
It's been fun actually.
I've spent a lot of time in livestreams with people.
And the company has been great. :D

Oh this is gorgeous! You know how much I love your work generally at the black and white stage, and this is so incredibly engrossing. I literally can't pick bits I like best -- the fox? The trees? The stag beetle? (Have I ever told you that I wanted one desperately as a pet as a child? I would think that something we may have in common.)

It's been fun to take the progress shots, and get a decent shot of the black/white stage of it. (ALSO STAG BEETLES ARE GREAT - no wonder you wanted one as a child! Definitely something we have in common. Heh).

It's probably too dry here to really keep them well, but I none the less still covet some "Rainbow" Stag Beetles, though of course old familiar fondness would incline me towards European Rhinoceros Beetles were I to take to beetle-keeping.
