Currently Maybe's nickname is 'Gremlin.'

Moet's current nickname is 'It's Not Your Dinner Time.'

This quick series was taken in a short amount of time, and illustrates how many things Maybe likes to focus on at once, lol.

A bird bath!

Okay so I love this series of photos coming up. Maybe likes to 'ghost' Moet. Here, they're not walking in step yet, but she's looking at him, and she'll figure it out.

Getting closer.

Got it! And then she'll mirror him until he gets annoyed.

Moet pretends this doesn't happen because goddamnit he has his dignity to think about.

I've never seen a kitty mimic like that. What an interesting game.

She mirrors him a lot, and I see it mostly when they're sleeping (where she joins him, and then sleeps either as a perfect copy, or mirrors him perfectly. To the point where if he shifts, she'll shift with him. She's always done it, and given that they get along, and she was a kitten when she met him, there's a familial connection or some kind of bond formation happening on her side when she does it. Though the mirroring while walking I sometimes wonder if that's a stalking technique lol).

He doesn't put up with it for long while he's awake, pfft.

Mmh yeah maybe the stalking/walking is something kittens pick on on the parent cat to learn hunting? Or, like, you know this things some animals do to leave as few footprints as possible by stepping into the footprints of whoever is in front.

Maybe and Moet both look healthy and gorgeous!

They're doing well! Moet recently had most of his teeth removed, on account of never chewing all his life and just bad genes, but honestly he's doing fine and his coat's healthy, etc. He still jumps to the top of the cat tower (which nearly reaches the ceiling) and is pretty spry for his age. :)
